The Department of Food Science and Technology offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Food Science and Technology. Undergraduate Minors are available in Food Technology for Companion Animals and Fermentation. The department offers a strong curriculum and provides numerous professional opportunities for our students to contribute to the development of safe, sustainable, and healthy food systems.

Our graduate students work closely with internationally recognized faculty to solve real problems within the food system, from harvest to food processing to consumption to individual health. We invite you to work alongside faculty conducting research and projects on food allergens, bioinformatics, biotechnology, food chemistry, food engineering, human health, food microbiology, food processing, food safety, and risk analysis.
