As an Associate Food Scientist, you are an essential contributor to product development. You will bring a food forward and culinary focused mindset to improve or bring new products to the table. With a curiosity for consumer demand and food trends, you'll bring your science background to life to create products that are an asset to Conagra's portfolio. You will develop new products beginning at the concept phase through successful commercialization, conduct plant trials and new product startups.

- Quality Assurance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance to the food safety system of the facility; perform formal audit on GMPs.
- Ensure training of facility personnel on GMPs, Risk Preventive Controls, Hazard Analysis, pre-requisite programs, and other applicable food safety system elements as required
- Collect and analyze product samples as required, as well as document information derived from analysis.

The Food Manufacturing Engineer holds an academic-year appointment as assistant or associate professor in the Departments of Biological Systems Engineering and Food Science and Technology in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR). The incumbent advances the food-manufacturing sector through developments and innovations for systems that will enhance consumer safety and confidence, economic viability and sustainable hygienic improvement in food manufacturing.

For undergraduate students who are passionate about their Food Science education and want to share it with future students! The Student Ambassadors represent the department at various recruitment events on campus, assist with outreach events across the state such as the Nebraska State Fair, Applejack Festival, and FFA Career programs, and take on leadership roles in the department including coordinating the Battle of the Food Scientists contest. The Student Ambassador position is a two-year commitment and comes with a $1,000 annual scholarship.
